Total Drama goes Totally London
Turner CN Enterprises has some big plans for Fresh TV’s Total Drama series over seas in London. The Cartoon Network (“CN”, indeed) supporting company is in the process of developing a new products for the entire Total Drama franchise, which includes Total Drama Island, Total Drama Action, Total Drama World Tour, and the not-yet-appropriately-named season 4 of Total Drama. As of now, the scope of the deals include publishing rights, DVD sales, and so on, but the nothing of further concepts (toys? video games?) is likely right around the corner. (more… )
Stoked is back with all new episodes, teletoon.com spots
Marblemedia, Fresh TV, and Teletoon are kicking off all new, and fresh, episodes of Stoked as the hit series returns with new waves. The surfing-based drama-adventure airs every Thursday at 7pm, as part of Teletoon’s 3 Hour “Really, Really, Really Awesome” block, as well as repeating Sundays at 7pm. It’s a whole new opportunity to meet the Groms, and get in touch with Emma, Reef, Fin, Broseph, Lo, George, Ty, and Johnny Front Desk Guy. Meanwhile, the same producers are hard at work on the Teletoon.com site, with dozens of new activities and features. Master Raindrop to Cartoon Network
The action and comedic adventure, Master Raindrop, will be working its way to Cartoon Network next month, thanks to distribution company Comarex. Master Raindrop follows the adventures of martial arts students as they battle against an evil general and his army of terracotta warriors. The 3D animated series is based on ancient Asian myths and legends, retaking tales of folklore. Fans in Latin America can expect the toon to debut in April, with global plans being explored shortly after, with special thanks to the production team: Big Communications, Flux Animation Studio, Flying Bark Productions, and Media Development. Pink Panther and Pals this Sunday
This Sunday, March 7th, Cartoon Network will be debuting yet another new animated series, Pink Panther and Pals, at 7:30 am. It’s been quite a run for the CN, with all these new shows, but we couldn’t be happier! Rubicon Studios and MGM are behind this one, bringing us the first new Pink Panther toon in over 15 years. The show will star the teenaged pink-hued panther and his friends in a 15 minute episode. That will then be followed by one short of the classic Ant & the Aardvark characters. It’s been nearly 50 years since David DePatie and Friz Freleng created the character, so he’s long over due for a series catered to this generation. Here’s a brief look at the show in action (more… )
Adventure Time with Finn & Jake on it’s way
It’s time to get algebraic! …or… something! That is, Cartoon Network is about to debut another original animated series called Adventure Time with Finn & Jake. Having just launched Hero: 108, then to have Generator Rex and Sym-Bionic Titan close behind, the CN is really giving us toon fans a glorious treat! The series kicks off on Monday, April 5th, at 8pm, courtesy of Pendleton Ward and Frederator Studios. Be on the lookout for an ecclectic collection of special guest voices all season long, including Henry Rollins, Erik Estrada, George Takei (of Heroes fame), Lou Ferrigno (of Hulk fame), and Mark Hamill (of Star Wars and Batman: The Animated Series fame). Cartoon Network’s Hero: 108 launch week
We’re just barely half-way through the debut week of Cartoon Network’s latest and greatest animated series Hero: 108. Since kicking off on March 1st, the flash animated toon, a co-production of Gamania, Moonscoop and Cartoon Network International, airs every day this week at 7am in the US and 4pm in the UK, giving fans a week-long look at non-stop battles. Lin Chung and the rest of First Squad have a big fight on their ends against the plans of Evil High Roller. But, if you’re a die-hard action toon fan like us, you’re in for the ride. Deltora Quest his Cartoon Network
Talk about a global effort! Turner Entertainment Networks in Asia has recently been working with USA’s DCI Los Angeles to bring the animated adventure series Deltora Quest to Cartoon Network in Australia. Thankfully, all of this international mingling has been successful, and the show will debut in that region next month. Perfect timing, too, as Scholastic is relaunching Emily Rodda’s book series of the same name, as well. The series follows the adventures of three companions as they journey across the magical land of Deltora to recover magical artifacts and defeat allies of the evil Shadow Lord. Hero 108 debuts tomorrow on Cartoon Network
It’s been a long time coming, but the Hero: 108 debut is finally here! Cartoon Network will be launching the new show all week long, Monday through Friday, starting tomorrow, March 1st at 7am. After waiting for about 14 months since first getting the news, 7 months since we got a sneak peek, and a few weeks since we learned of the toys, the animated series is now ready to jump start in our lives, proudly brought to us by Moonscoop.
