From all of us, to all of you — Happy Holidays, everybody!!!!!

From Yogi’s First Christmas, to Casper’s First Christmas, to The Smurfs Christmas Special, to A Flintstones Christmas Carol… Boomerang has kept our holiday classics warm for us all through out December.  Now, they’ve got one more in store, on Christmas Day!  At 2PM on Boomerang, the network will air Nutcracker Scooby, the holiday tale of Scooby Doo and the rest of the gang.  Check it out!

We’ve had Yogi’s First Christmas, Casper’s First Christmas, and The Smurfs Christmas Special (was it their first Christmas, too??).  Now, to continue in the holiday cheer, Boomerang is bringing all of us A Flintstones Christmas Carol later today, at 6pm.  Yabba Dabba!  …Doo!

As part of Boomerang’s month-long Christmas celebration, which has already featured Yogi’s First Christmas and Casper’s First Christmas, the network is bringing us the Smurfs First Christmas!  Later today, at 4:25 pm, tune into watch The Smurfs Christmas Special and have a smurfing great time!

December has been very good to Nickelodeon, as the network pulls out its highest ratings ever for 2008.  Amongst the special showings in December were the SpongeBob SquarePants Christmas Special, which is a ratings powerhouse.  I’ve already seen it 3 times this year, and wouldn’t mind catching it a few more

The cartoon is super fun, but how about a movie?  Your wish is our command!  Cartoon Network’s Bakugan Battle Brawlers is all set to make its move to the silver screen after the recently signed deal between Spin Master Ltd. and Universal Pictures.   All the news is still early on, but stay TOONed right here for upcoming details!

On Tuesday, December 30th, ABC will be airing the Rankin/Bass stop-motion animated holiday special Rudolph’s Shiny New Year.  The special, which will be on TV at 8:30 pm, is narrated by New Year’s hero, Father Time — immediately following the Peanuts gang and their holiday treat, Happy New Year Charlie Brown.

Walt Disney and Russia will soon be bestest pals!  The Walt Disney Company is signing on to Media-One Holdings, a broadcaster in Russia, to bring a national Disney TV channel over there next year.  The deal will bring classic and new Disney shows to the network, which sounds pretty awesome to me!

Last Thursday, December 11th, Cartoon Network showed the Total Drama Island finale during part of the Har Har Tharsdays block.  The episode set a new record in ratings, becoming the most watched show for kids between 6 and 14.  Total Drama Action, the second season, will be premiering on Cartoon Network this spring.

All you lucky cartoon fans up there in Canada will soon have another reason to celebrate!  Toei Animation has recently agreed to bring its popular anime title Pretty Cure to Canada’s YTV.  The first season of the series is all set to debut in the spring of 2009.

Charlie Brown hasn’t even gotten to Christmas yet, but he and his Peanuts gang are already looking forward to New Year’s!  On Tuesday, December 30th, ABC will be airing Charles M. Schulz’s holiday special, Happy New Year Charlie Brown, at 8 pm.

Strawberry Shortcake: Happily Ever After is making its way to DVD just in time for Christm… er… Valentine’s Day!  OK, so it’s a little early to be moving on to the next holiday, but Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced the DVD will hit shelves on February 3, 2009, and will include free downloadable coloring pages and a character memory game.

Dora is getting in on all the holiday fun with her own special, Dora Saves Three Kings Day.  The episode will air on Nickelodeon on Tuesday, January 6th, at 8 pm.  You can catch a two-minute sneak peek on Nick Jr. Video starting Monday, December 29th.

IGN has reviewed the latest, final chapter of the Strong Bad saga, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People Episode 5: 8-Bit Is Enough.  Here’s a bit of what they had to say:

Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People has been consistently entertaining, and “8-bit is Enough” is a more than fitting sendoff. This episode is truly bizarre, but still very funny. Both Telltale and Homestar creators the Chapman brothers have really taken the time to craft the games that Homestar fans want to play.
