Fox announces Ice Age 4, Ice Age: Continental Drift in 3D
The Ice Age continues, at least according to Fox. Blue Sky Studios recently announced that the Paleolithic franchise will bring about another sequel making Ice Age 4 into Ice Age: Continental Drift. As is popular with every movie these days, the film will be developed in 3D. The target date is currently set for July 13, 2012, which pits the film 10 days after Sony’s Spider-Man reboot, and 7 days before Warner Bros.’ third Batman, a follow up to The Dark Knight. Expected to return are the voices of Ray Romano as Manny, John Leguizamo as Sid, Denis Leary as Diego, Queen Latifah as Ellie, and Chris Wedge as Scrat. (more… )

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on DVD
It’s been a few months since the last Ice Age. …er, the movie, not the “ice covering the world” thing. Now, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is ready to bring Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, and Scrat to our homes, as the flick reaches DVD and Blu-ray on October 27th. The three-disc Blu-Ray / DVD Combo Pack will include the movie in both formats, commentary, a story maker, mini featurettes, a “how to draw Scrat” guide, Walk The Dinosaur music video, and more, retailing for about $40. The standard DVD version will be a bit more stripped down, and come with a $30 price tag.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs: the video game
The first week of July was pretty busy for “big time”, movie-based video games, featuring not only the debut of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but more importantly to us, a game based on the animated Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The Activision Publishing and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising game for Ice Age launches at the same time of the 3D animated movie. The game was developed for all major consoles by Eurocom, and the handheld version for the Nintendo DS was developed by Artificial Mind & Movement. Would you get the game without seeing the movie?
