Happy Chinese New Year Kai-Lan, Year of the Tiger week

From Monday through Friday next week, February 22nd through February 26th, Nickelodeon will help celebrate the Chinese New Year with brand new episodes of the hit series Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. The week-long marathon event will be dubbed Year of the Tiger week, with each episode airing at 1:30pm. On Friday’s episode, Kai-Lan teaches a valuable lesson to Rintoo the Tiger; taking turns. Nickelodeon's Kai-Lan continues to teach

Over the past few months, Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. have debuted a number of brand new episodes of the popular series Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. Each one tends to a specific theme, with a moral and a lesson ready to teach fans something important about the world they live in through the world Kai-Lan lives in. Recently, the toon-happy network has received a lot of praise for focusing certain episodes on important youth lessons, such as giving everyone a chance, not being bossy, practice, and learning to view and take perspectives. While the series is still somewhat new in it’s lifespan, it shows a lot of promise to be around for a long, long time — not unlike the network’s big brother, SpongeBob. Ni Hao, Kai-lan says Ni Hao UK

For awhile now, the Nickelodeon animated series Ni Hao, Kai-lan has developed a huge following in the US. But no longer can Americans keep the joy all to themselves, it’s time to share with our friends over seas in the UK! Starting this fall, Nickelodeon UK will launch the series by airing it twice a day, all throughout September. The British version of the show will feature a British voice-over cast, different from the voices seen in the US version. Ni Hao, Kai-lan is produced by Nickelodeon and Wang Films, executive produced by Mary Harrington, created by Karen Chau, and written by Sascha Paladino.

Kai-lan's Great Trip to China

On Friday, August 14th at 10am, Nickelodeon will premiere the hour-long special, Kai-lan’s Great Trip to China. The 60 minute adventure is based on the animated series Ni Hao, Kai-lan, and follows Kai-lan and her pals to China. There, they visit her great aunt and attend the naming ceremony of a baby panda. The special will replay on Noggin two days later, Sunday, August 16th at 7pm, so you’ve got a few chances to check it out! The voice of Kai-lan’s great aunt will be provided by actress Ming-Na.

Denmark gets Ni-Hao Kai-Lan

After being on the air for two seasons elsewhere, fans in Denmark will finally be able to watch Ni-Hao Kai-Lan at home, as the DR1 network signs a deal with Nickelodeon to show every episode of the series. Like Dora the Explorer did for Hispanic and Latin culture, Ni-Hao Kai-Lan introduces viewers to the Chinese culture and values, even learning words in Mandarin.

2K Play is working with Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products on a new Ni Hao, Kai-lan video game. The game, which will combine action sequences with learning Chinese culture, will feature voices from the TV series for all of the characters you’ve come to love! The title is expected to hit shelves later this year, around holiday time, and will be available for your Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation 2.
