Kung Fu Panda live show
DreamWorks Animation is working with a theatrical show production, run by Franco Dragone, to create a live arena show based on Kung Fu Panda. The hope is to have an arena show ready for 2011, to line up perfectly with the sequel to the hit Kung Fu Panda movie, in theaters June 2011. Would you be interested in seeing the movie acted out by performers, and maybe with songs, Shrek style?

Roary the Racing Car roars to Mercedes-Benz World
Roary the Racing Car, and his faithful mechanic Big Chris, will be appearing at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, UK next weekend, May 30th through the 31st. The pair will be there to celebrate the launch of Kinderclass, a new Mercedes-Benz program designed to promote safe travel. Having just appeared at the Children’s Trust, Roary certainly is becoming the famous spoksemodel!

Disney Channel’s Summer of Stars
Disney Channel is kicking off its summer lineup with “Summer of Stars” on Friday, May 29th. The day will celebrate with special event episodes, new double-feature movie, and programming marathons. Friday nights will feature The Suite Life on Deck, Phineas and Ferb, and Wizards of Waverly Place. The Friday block will showcase four new vampire-themed episodes with special guest stars. The upcoming Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana is a 90-minute special, combining three Disney Channel shows.

SpongeBob’s Truth or Square
THQ Inc. has a whole new SpongeBob game ready for us, preparing to release SpongeBob’s Truth or Square later this fall. The game is just another part to the already huge 10th Anniversary celebration for Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants. The game will feature a new shape-shifting capability that will allow players to transform SpongeBob into zany objects necessary for competing. SpongeBob’s Truth or Square is being developed by Heavy Iron Studios for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and PSP.

Cartoon Network Asia has recently signed Nerd Corp Entertainment’s animated series League of Super Evil (aka L.O.S.E.) to appear across the network. The toon is scheduled to start up in 2010 on Cartoon Network in more than 25 countries, including India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, and China. Nerd Corps will air 30-second shorts as a bonus to hype the evil!. The League of Super Evil debuted in March on Cartoon Network in the US, YTV in Canada, CBBC in the UK) Jetix in Latin America, and Canal +, Canal J and Gulli in France.

Cartoon Network gets Chaotic …and a Yu-Gi-Oh!
The already-impressive Cartoon Network lineup is growing! Adding to the list are Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s and Chaotic: M’arrillian Invasion, both of which will start next month, in late June. Cartoon Network will also get to show the third season of Chaotic, which will be on TV in fall 2009. All of the series formerly aired exclusively on the Saturday morning block TheCW4Kids, but now that they’ll be on Cartoon Network, they’ll reach a much larger audience.

Funny Little Bugs the movie
MK2 and Onyx Films have unveiled plans to produce a 3D animated feature film based on Antoon Krings Funny Little Bugs book series. Additionally, the pair have also agreed to create a video game based on the movie — pretty convenient! The movie is scheduled to be in theaters later in 2010, along with the game in store shelves.
