Wibbly Pig making a splash

Wibbly Pig making a splash

9 Story Entertainment is hard at work to bring us a brand new animated series called Wibbly Pig. We’ve been hearing bits and pieces from the toon, based on Mick Inkpen’s book series, since earlier this year. The series is noted as being a child’s introduction to simple ideas through basic questions. What kind of questions? We’re talking the basics here: do you like bananas, is it bedtime yet, do pigs and dogs get along, etc. The books have sold millions across the globe, and 9 Story is working with Wish Films to bring similar success to the cartoon. The series has already been picked up by CBeebies and Canada’s TVO and Knowledge Network. It could be heading your way soon!

Almost Naked Animals

Almost Naked Animals

9 Story Entertainment sure has a lot of weird ideas for toons! The latest adventure, Almost Naked Animals, gives viewers a look into the lives of a group of animals whom are, accurately enough, almost naked. Basically, it’s a colleciton of mammals, reptiles, and birds in their undies! The portrayal is a group of friends who are comfortable in their own skin, cool with who they are. The series is still early in production, and wont start airing until next fall, but it has already been picked up and “clothed” by several networks around the globe, including Canal+ in France, ABC in Australia, and YTV in Canada.

Wibbly PigWibbly Pig will be making an appearance this fall in the UK. The show is based on Mick Inkpen’s books, and will be distributed by 9 Story and BBC Worldwide, reaching as far as Canada’s TVO and Knowledge Network. Wibbly Pig is a very cute, very pink, very young pig … but that doesn’t prevent him from getting into his own adventures — even eating ice cream on the beach! (that’s my kind of pig!)
