Nicktoons and Marvel bring Iron Man: Armored Adventures back for season two
Iron Man is having a pretty good run right now. Marvel’s ShellHead super hero is ruling box offices with Iron Man 2, his smash hit sequel to 2008′s Iron Man. There are new video games based on the movie with Tony Stark’s likeness. He’ll make numerous appearances in Cartoon Network’s Marvel Super Hero Squad. And last, but not least, his very own Mr. Potato Head character. But wait, there’s more! Nicktoons is working with Marvel Animation, Method Animation, and DQ Entertainment to crank out a second season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures with 26 new episodes. With all the hype building for the upcoming Marvel sequel to hit theaters, Iron Man 2, it might be easy to overlook the success of the Nicktoons Iron Man animated series, Iron Man: Armored Adventures. The DQ Entertainment and Method Animation toon has dominated its spot in the Nickelodeon universe, as work kicks off for 26 more episodes in a second season. Iron Man gets a whole new look
The suit may be made of metal, but it still has to be stylish! Or, at least, the folks at Marvel would have us believe, as they continually upgrade and revamp Iron Man’s look with brand new suits. Sure, all the attention right now is being paid to the upcoming Iron Man sequel on the big screen, but it always comes back to the comic book roots, whose original getup was all kinds of bulky, making him look more like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. However, as the years go by, and his appearances on TV, animation, and the big screen bring him fame, he felt a change was needed. The result? Something a bit beyond the more traditional take seen on Nickelodeon’s toon, and perhaps even sleeker than the anime version. Check it out for yourself! (more… )

Iron Man’s War Machine revealed
Iron Man has had some good times over the past few years; A high-ranking cartoon via Iron Man: Armored Adventures on Nickelodeon, the major starring role in Marvel’s recent Civil War storyline, a brand new anime adventure, a blockbuster theatrical release, and now a sequel prepping for the big screen! On May 7th, the Disney-owned Marvel will release Iron Man 2, introducing the dark and metallic War Machine, ready to do battle in full attack mode.
