Superstuffed Nicksgiving Weekend
Starting Wednesday, November 25th, Nickelodeon is cranking out some Thanksgiving holiday cheer in the form of Superstuffed Nicksgiving Weekend. Marathons, premieres, specials – the whole bit. Included in the feast will be SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie, episodes of Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Fanboy & Chum Chum, and Avatar: the Last Airbender, to name a few, running all the way through to Sunday evening. Avatar heads to Hong Kong
For years now, most of us have been watching, and loving, Nickelodeon’s hit animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The American anime toon has received a tremendous amount of praise for it’s animation style and deep storyline structure. I know this. You know this. But there’s a few unlucky folks around the globe that haven’t been able to see the show yet for themselves yet. Well, that list just got much smaller, as MTV Networks is bringing the toon to regions in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Welcome to the party, guys! The first of which will be TVB and ATV in Hong Kong, which marks the first time a show will air on both of the the territories broadcaster networks. Clearly, they’re excited!

The Last Airbender movie is on its way; less than a year until the release date of July 2nd, 2010. And, of course, a movie can’t be released without some toys by its side! Spin Master will work with Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products to produce toys for the film, based on Nickelodeon’s animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. This will include action figures, vehicles, playsets, and more, all based on the heroes and villains from the live-action flick, brought to us by M. Night Shyamalan, Nickelodeon Movies, and Paramount Pictures.

It should! Nickelodeon’s hit animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender is going to get the hollywood treatment in live-action form, thanks to M. Night Shyamalan, Nickelodeon Movies, and Paramount Pictures. The film, starring Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, and Jackson Rathbone, hits theaters on July 2nd, 2010, but those at the San Diego Comic-Con got to see an early teaser trailer …which you now can see too, after the break!
Avatar’s ‘Zuko’ now has a face
M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming live action film, Avatar: The Last Airbender, based on the popular Nickelodeon anime title, has finally found someone worthy of portraying Zuko. Dev Patel, star of the recent hit Slumdog Millionaire, will take on the role of the Fire Nation’s evil Zuko, which was originally to be played by Jesse McCartney until schedule conflicts arose. The Last Airbender will be in theaters July 2nd, 2010.
Casting day for Avatar: The Last Airbender — the movie!
The internet has spoken! Buzz is all around that M. Night Shyamalan has begun casting roles his upcoming, live-action film, “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. The movie, which is based on Nickelodeon’s animated super-hit series, has already cast Aang, Sokka, Katara, and maybe even Zuko. So exciting! The flick will hit theaters in July of 2010, but it’s good to hear progress is already being made.
