Since we got a great look at the film in action during the Super Bowl, we’ve been truly excited to finally get to see M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender. Based on Nickelodeon’s American-made, manga-styled anime Avatar: , the upcoming movie is a rich mix of live action and CG effects. Produced by and , the film features the elemental based world of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire threaten to tear life apart until discovers he is the lone Avatar, with the power to manipulate all four elements. The Last Airbender toys, Aang and other Avatar favorites

One way to instantly mark how fun a franchise is; the toys! Nickelodeon has had tremendous success with their Avatar: animated series, as well as the action figures based on the manga-styled American anime cartoon. Up for grabs at this point are the toys and playsets that will be based on the upcoming film, , which offers a live-action and varied take on the Nick toon. The movie, created by Paramount and M. Night Syamalan, will partner with Spin Master for the toyline, including 10 inch action figures of the main characters like , Zuko, , and Shokka, as well as an Appa (the flying bison) that smaller versions of the figures can fit on. There will also be versions of ’s staff weapon, for those looking for a new toy, or upcoming costume! The movie hits theaters on July 2nd, the same day the first sets of toys hit stores. Avatar heads to Hong Kong

For years now, most of us have been watching, and loving, Nickelodeon’s hit animated series Avatar: . The American anime toon has received a tremendous amount of praise for it’s animation style and deep storyline structure. I know this. You know this. But there’s a few unlucky folks around the globe that haven’t been able to see the show yet for themselves yet. Well, that list just got much smaller, as MTV Networks is bringing the toon to regions in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Welcome to the party, guys! The first of which will be TVB and ATV in Hong Kong, which marks the first time a show will air on both of the the territories broadcaster networks. Clearly, they’re excited! :)

Avatar's 'Zuko' now has a faceM. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming live action film, Avatar: , based on the popular Nickelodeon anime title, has finally found someone worthy of portraying Zuko.  Dev Patel, star of the recent hit Slumdog Millionaire, will take on the role of the Fire Nation’s evil Zuko, which was originally to be played by Jesse McCartney until schedule conflicts arose. will be in theaters July 2nd, 2010.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

The internet has spoken! Buzz is all around that M. Night Shyamalan has begun casting roles his upcoming, live-action film, “Avatar: ”.  The movie, which is based on Nickelodeon’s animated super-hit series, has already cast , Sokka, , and maybe even Zuko.  So exciting!  The flick will hit theaters in July of 2010, but it’s good to hear progress is already being made.
