Cartoon Network gets hyped for the Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction video game
Ben has a pretty cool gig. I mean, he’s had, what, three shows so far? Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force, and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. He’s had specials, movies, live-action segments, great LEGO toys, and all kinds of products. But one of the only ways to truly get a sense of just how cool it is to live Ben Tennyson’s life is to get your hands on a Ben 10 video game. Papaya Studio, Cartoon Network, D3 Publisher, and the rest of the folks behind the latest gaming adventure, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction, had that specific goal in mind – and it appears the goal was achieved! The game, due out in just a month, on October 5th, features 17 playable characters, including normal aliens, ultimate aliens, and Ben, himself — Fourarms and Rath will appear in special editions. Be sure to check out the trailer right here in this post, then pick the game up for whatever platform you have: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo Wii. (more… )

Is Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim for kids?
Adult Swim, or as you may be used to seeing it “[adult swim]“, launched nearly 10 years ago. While many of the shows that made it famous debuted earlier in the “regular” Cartoon Network blocks, it wasn’t until September of 2001 that they were grouped together under the Adult Swim banner. The block currently runs from 10pm through 6am and features a mix of animated series, syndicated shows, anime, and other original programming. Because of the late hours, the shows and toons are generally left unedited and uncensored, which is something many anime fans have been looking for. But with the popularity of Ben 10, Adventure Time, and Cartoon Network’s other “daytime” series, and because the channel is so often dominated by a younger audience, the question remains: can Adult Swim be appreciated by old and young alike?
