Chaotic: Secrets of the Lost City

Chaotic: Secrets of the Lost City

This October, 4Kids Entertainment will introduce the latest chapter in the Chaotic animated series, Chaotic: Secrets of the Lost City. The series is produced entirely in HD, and has already been acquired by Cartoon Network and Teletoon, to air in the US and Canada, respectively, for the 2009-2010 season. With this season added to the original Chaotic series, as well as Chaotic: M’arillian Invasion, the total amount of shows in the Chaotic universe will be bumped up to 78. The animation style of the second season will more closely resemble that of the second, M’arillian Invasion, than the original Flash-animated first season. Which did you like best?

Sandra, the Fairytale Detective

Sandra, the Fairytale Detective

Imira Entertainment’s latest toon is a flash animated series, in the style of the original 4Kids, Chaotic cartoon, called Sandra, the Fairytale Detective. Co-produced by TVE and DQ Entertainment, the series has already made deals to appear on various Disney Channel outlets across the globe, including France, Italy, Germany, and India. The story finds 10 year old Sandra (whom we know is a Fairytale Detective!) and her reasoning ways. She uses her detective skills while traveling to other, far away worlds with strange, fairytale characters. And each place has it’s own twist to a common storyline, like what if Pinocchio never lied? Or if someone stole and wore Cinderella’s glass slipper? Sandra has a lot of work on her hands to crack all these cases!

Chaotic drink mystery solved?

Chaotic drink mystery solved?

A few months ago, we reported that the Chaotic brand would be starting up it’s own line of beverages. A few weeks later, we reported that there was a confusing issue with the drink; that the Chaotic beverage cans had their wrapper printed on top of another can — the labels associated with the 4Kids TV show could be peeled off, revealing a different drink label inside. Thankfully, a representative from Chaotic Beverages has stepped up to field our concerns. They say that the cans are legit, the Chaotic beverage and all nutritional ingredients are labeled properly, and that the process of “over/rewrapping” the cans is done to be environmentally friendly; wrapping over excess cans in their inventory. Read after the break to see their full response.

Chaotic gets busy

Chaotic gets busy

4Kids Entertainment and TC Digital Games are making all sorts of moves for their star tv series and trading card game combo, Chaotic. Up first is Blowfish Entertainment in South Africa, which will start airing season one of Chaotic on MNET next month. Brand Licensing Israel in Israel will now add season two to its repeats of season one on Noga TV. And Sinerji Reklam in Turkey will begin to show the first two seasons of the animated series on Jojo TV in just two weeks. There’s so much going on, it’s almost… chaotic!

Will the real Chaotic drink please stand up

Will the real Chaotic drink please stand up

When we first reported the news that Chaotic was rolling out its own beverage, we thought it sounded a little … weird. I mean, sure, we’ve seen the cartoon, played the card game, own a few posters, etc. We’ve even seen Chaotic shirts and backpacks at the stores. But a cartoon drink was something we don’t think we’ve ever seen. Well, guess what — we still might not have! According to the blog What I Drink at Work, the Chaotic drink is actually just a Chaotic label wrapped around a different drink, called Awake. If you peel away the wrapper of the CW 4Kids show Chaotic, you see the Awake can inside. Is it a different drink? Are they just re-used cans? Stay TOONed right here for answers!

Is 4Kids no more?

Is 4Kids no more?

Tough times have been brewing in the world of 4Kids over the past few years. Last November, we reported that 4Kids was leaving the Fox network (and was being replaced by infomercials) In January, we saw the company reduce it’s employee count by 25%. Now, we’re hearing word that 4Kids is working with Montgomery & Co. to assist in a potential sale of the company. What the heck is going on!! Currently, 4Kids is the home of Chaotic, Sonic, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Winx Club, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Huntik, Dinosaur King, RollBots, Viva Pinata, and a number of other series. We’re not yet sure what’s going to happen to them — maybe they’ll be fine, maybe they’ll move to a different channel, etc. What would you like to see happen?
