Walt Disney Animation Studios has launched a brand new site that talks all about the studio’s amazing history. Think about it, this is the place that created Cinderella, Snow White, The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Lady and the Tramp… everything! Its definitely worth checking out, and taking a tour through (animated) history!
The Princess and the Frog video game
Disney Interactive Studios will release The Princess and the Frog video game, based on Disney’s upcoming animated movie of the same name, for Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, this fall. The adventure will feature characters and moments from the movie, including more than 25 minigames for up to 4 players. The game is being developed by Amaze and Griptonite Games.
Disney’s Prep for Landing
It’s not even summer yet, but Christmas is still coming! Disney Animation Studios is hard at work on a new holiday special called Prep for Landing. The half-hour show will premiere on ABC later this year. The story is about an elite unit of elves that use high tech gadgets to prepare homes for Santa’s arrival. One elf named Wayne is waiting for a promotion that sadly never arrives. Instead, Magee, the North Pole Christmas Eve Command Center Coordinator, assigns him to work with Lanny, an excited rookie elf, on a special Christmas Eve mission.
