Pat + Stan go global, cross network
If you’re a fan of Pat & Stan (or you have a plan for your friend Dan…?) then we’ve got some good news for you! TV-Loonland has signed a number of deals to spread the popular animated series across the globe, and even across competing networks! In Asian areas, the series will air on Nickelodeon. In Korea, the series will air on Cartoon Network. In Japan, the series will air… on Disney! That’s a pretty big distribution for our hippo and dog pals!
Peggy’s Little Harbour
Keyframe Digital Productions has recently announced that it was developing Peggy’s Little Harbour – a CGI animated series about a 6-year-old Canadian girl named Peggy who lives in a lighthouse with her grandmother and her dog, Droolie. The show is all about problem solving, turning the viewers into detectives. It also uses lots of Celtic references and music to stand out.

Pat & Stan, your favorite hippo & dog combo, are going to spread themselves all over the world! TV-Loonland has worked deals with the CGI animated series to air on NRK in Norway, YLE in Finland, Icelandic Broadcasting Corp, Jetix Europe, TSR in Switzerland, and TV5 Monde in France. New episodes of the cartoon are in production now, and should be ready to air later this year.
Is this the best Best Ed?
9 Story Entertainment hopes to soon bring its new animated series, Best Ed, to your tube! The show is about a dog named Ed, who tries every day to be the best Ed he can be… even if it drives Buddy, his squirrel friend, crazy! The series is scheduled to be ready in April, and will launch on Canada’s Teletoon, Cartoon Network UK, as well as the Cartoon Network channel in the UK, the Middle East, Africa and Korea.
Bolt in theaters now!
Bolt has launched its way into theaters this weekend, already leading off with a strong debut on Friday, November 21st. The DreamWorks Animation film is expected to do quite nicely over the holiday weekend, and we’ll report ticket sales as soon as we hear them. Have you gone to see it yet? Pink Panther & Pals
Cartoon Network will kick off a brand new Pink Panther series next Fall. Pink Panther & Pals will debut 26 new episodes of the half-hour animated series, the latest addition to a franchise that has spanned decades. The show features the Pink Panther as a rambunctious teenager who, along with his friends, gets into all sorts of mischievous capers and hilarious escapades. Favorite characters from the original series such as Ant and Aardvark and new characters Horse and Dog join the Pink Panther in his daily adventures.
