Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 3 on weekend 3 in 3D for hundred million 3 on July 3
3! 3! 3!!! With $250 million already in the bank, Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 3 hopes to reach the magical plateau of $300 million this holiday weekend, with the help of some eager movie goers. But being able to reach, and “eclipse” that mark will be no easy task, especially against The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the latest in the Twilight franchise hitting theaters this weekend, as well – not to mention Nickelodeon’s new The Last Airbender film, following the story of Aang the Avatar. Toy Story 3 has already topped the first two in the franchise; 1995′s Toy Story pulled in $191 million and the sequel, 1999′s Toy Story 2, had $245 million. Together, the first two films pulled in another $30 at the box office during last year’s Toy Story / Toy Story 2 double feature in 3D. So how high will the numbers eventually climb? No one knows for sure — but I know I’ll be seeing it at least one more time in theaters! (more… )
