Starting Wednesday, November 25th, Nickelodeon is cranking out some Thanksgiving holiday cheer in the form of Superstuffed Nicksgiving Weekend. Marathons, premieres, specials – the whole bit. Included in the feast will be SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie, episodes of Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Fanboy & Chum Chum, and Avatar: the Last Airbender, to name a few, running all the way through to Sunday evening. Not only is Wolverine popular, but so are the X-Men! So what is the logical step for Nicktoons to make? Signing up the hit series Wolverine and the X-Men to a second season! New episodes from season one will kick off Friday May 22nd at 8pm following Iron Man: Armored Adventures. New episodes from the second season should start up later this year, during the fall.

Nicktoons Network sets a ratings record for the launch of their new animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures. Iron Man, which debuted on Friday, April 24th, had back-to-back episodes from 7-8pm. The hour-long marathon boosted ratings for the entire day on the channel, which is pretty good for just one guy! …one… IRON guy!

Don’t forget, Nickelodeon will be launching its all-new animated superhero series Iron Man: Armored Adventures tonight at 7pm. With all the success Iron Man had last year in theaters, we’re thinking that this series is going to have an even bigger amount of hype for it. Nicktoons Network is ready to bring Iron Man: Armored Adventures to the air in 2009.  The story follows a 17 year old Tony Stark who nearly loses his life and his father, Howard Stark, in a fatal plane crash. He builds a device that keeps him alive using his high level of intelligence.  Then, three years later, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor to help him become the fabled hero Iron Man. With the help of Jim Rhodes, Happy Hogan, and Pepper Potts, Iron Man fights the enemies of World Peace ranging from Mandarin, Iron Monger, Crimson Dynamo, Madame Masque, Blizzard, Living Laser, The Controller and Whiplash.
