On May 7th, theaters are opening up millions of seats for adoring fans to see the premiere of Iron Man 2. It might be difficult to grab a ticket for the premiere, but what if we told you Marvel, Disney, and good ole Stan Lee were bringing some metallic super hero straight to your home on May 4th? In steps Iron Man: The Complete 1994 Animated Television Series on DVD! Considered the Ultimate Collection, the 3 disc box set features all 26 episodes of the mid 90′s toon. Jetix Switched Over in Italy
While most Jetix channels are closing up shop as Disney XD moves in, the group that ran the Jetix channel in Italy is just moving to a new location — and a new name. They have inked a deal to acquire GXT (available via Sky Italia Entertainment Channels Package) and K2 (a free TV channel), both of which are exclusive to the Italian market. The group is now called Switchover Media, and plans to develop other projects and series on various TV platforms. It is currently unknown what will happen to the current Jetix lineup, which includes; Kid vs. Kat, World of Quest, Yin Yang Yo!, and Pokemon DP Battle Dimension – which went to Jetix just a year ago.

Breakthrough Entertainment is pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s hit series Jimmy Two-Shoes gets to see the world! After signing a recent deal with Disney Television International Japan, the animated toon can begin to develop a Japanese following. Japan joins a number of outlets to air the series, including Teletoon in Canada and Jetix Europe across the seas.

Disney XD to replace UK’s Jetix
So long, Jetix. Later this August, Disney XD will replace the Jetix channel in the UK. Just like its US counterpart, Disney XD in the UK will feature both live-action and cartoons. Disney XD has already replaced the Jetix channel in France, and the Jetix in Japan will be next. It is a global takeover as Disney XD grows! Which name and logo do you like better?

Jetix becomes Disney Channel
In a few European areas, the Jetix channel on your dial is going to become the Disney Channel. The switch is set to take place later this year in Hungary, Romania, and Czech Republic. After the switch, Disney Channel will reach over 12 million households just in that area, with shows playing in local languages. Time to bring on the toons!

Cartoon Network Asia has recently signed Nerd Corp Entertainment’s animated series League of Super Evil (aka L.O.S.E.) to appear across the network. The toon is scheduled to start up in 2010 on Cartoon Network in more than 25 countries, including India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, and China. Nerd Corps will air 30-second shorts as a bonus to hype the evil!. The League of Super Evil debuted in March on Cartoon Network in the US, YTV in Canada, CBBC in the UK) Jetix in Latin America, and Canal +, Canal J and Gulli in France.
