The Last Airbender Movie brings Nickelodeon’s Avatar to theaters TODAY
It’s Air, it’s Water, it’s Earth, it’s Fire, and it’s in 3D. M. Night Shyamalan is bringing the magic and mystery of Nickelodeon’s Avatar to the big screen today, finally, with the launch of the highly anticipated The Last Airbender. The film tells the story of Aang; the only individual on the planet with the power to manipulate all four elements, and it’s up to him to wield those abilities, as the Avatar, to save the day. This will serve as the opening chapter into the anime-based title, with a potential trilogy to follow, based on the success of this one. Getting excited? Do you feel it in the air? Bent or otherwise? Well you’d better be! In just a matter of days, Nickelodeon Movies is bringing the hit Nick-based anime series Avatar to the big screen as The Last Airbender. The M. Night Shyamalan production, originally set to hit on July 2nd, is arriving a whole 24 hours earlier, much to the delight of fans everywhere. And, of course, the adventure will be presented in three of the best dimensions you could imagine. Nickelodeon launches M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender July 1st
Fans waiting until July 2nd to feast their eyes upon M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender might be a bit disappointed. Why? Well, because they’ll no longer be the first people to check out the film! Nickelodeon Movies has announced that they’re releasing the live action take on Avatar a whole day earlier, hitting box offices on July 1st nationwide. The first week of July was pretty busy for “big time”, movie-based video games, featuring not only the debut of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but more importantly to us, a game based on the animated Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The Activision Publishing and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising game for Ice Age launches at the same time of the 3D animated movie. The game was developed for all major consoles by Eurocom, and the handheld version for the Nintendo DS was developed by Artificial Mind & Movement. Would you get the game without seeing the movie?

The wait is finally over, and the Ice Age is here! Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs opens in theaters today, July 1st. After the events of Ice Age: The Meltdown, life begins to change for the crew: Manny and Ellie are expecting a baby, Scrat finds a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scratte, Diego is fed up with being treated like a house-cat, and Sid finds some dinosaur eggs …and later a dinosaur world! I already can’t wait to see it!!
