Cartoon Networks Kids Corner comes to BHS restaurants
Interested in some Ben 10 Omnitrix Omelets? Maybe some Generator Rex Ravioli? Flapjack flapjacks makes sense, as does Chowder’s chowder, but what about Powerpuff Pastries? Clone Wars Scone Wars? I know, I know, the more terrible the pun, the more delicious the item! That’s exactly what BHS has in mind as they ink a partnership with Turner CN Enterprises to bring Cartoon Networks Kids Corner to their restaurants. There, folks will get to order from a cartoon-based menu, featuring some of Cartoon Network’s biggest stars, like Ben 10, Justice League Unlimited, Adventure Time, Total Drama, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Scooby-Doo and more. …now I’m hungry AND I want to watch cartoons!! Marvel powers Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with super voice talent
Since Disney took ownership of Marvel, their universe has not only expanded with superheroes, it’s exploded! This fall, the pair hope to showcase that collection in their latest animated adventure, Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The toon, set to air on Disney XD, features a wide cast of famous heroes and villains, but is also loaded with voice talent familiar with the comic book world. Amongst a large collection of stars, the toon will feature the sounds of Kevin Conroy (Batman from Batman: the Animated Series, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited), Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor from Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited), and Ron Perlman (Hellboy from the motion picture films as well as the animated toons). Warner Bros. brings Jonah Hex Motion Comics to iTunes
Warner Bros. recently brought Jonah Hex to the big screen – and while the film didn’t have the same critically acclaimed impact that Jonah Hex’s “little screen” TV appearances did for Cartoon Network’s Justice League, WB is hoping the third medium is a charm. Thus, the DC Comics character is making his way to a downloadable format, via the medium known as Motion Comics; taking existing comic book artwork, then animating them in a cartoon-like fashion. In total, three action packed Jonah Hex Motion Comics are available for download, bringing the books to life panel by panel via Warner Premiere’s digital push. DC Comics and Warner Bros announce Green Lantern: The Animated Series for Cartoon Network
It started with Super Friends. Years later, it was appearances on Superman: The Animated Series. Then starring roles (and multiple portrayals) on Cartoon Network’s Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Within the past two years, he had his own Warner Premiere cartoon movie and then reports of an upcoming live action mega blockbuster film. Move over Batman, and stand aside Spider-Man, Green Lantern is making his big move to stardom! Time Warner / Warner Bros. and DC Comics have announced that Cartoon Network will be the proud airing network of Green Lantern: The Animated Series. The toon will debut after Ryan Reynolds wields the ring in the June 17, 2011 big screen, live action, 3D debut. Jonah Hex shoots at movie screens June 18th
A tough and stoic gunslinger, Jonah Hex is a trained bounty hunter who can track down anyone and anything. Jonah’s history is a mix of myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the other side. Jonah’s life comes full circle when the U.S. military makes him an offer he cant refuse: in exchange for his freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the dangerous terrorist Quentin Turnbull; the very man who ruined his life. We got a look at Jonah Hex twice during the heyday of DC animation. First, the character appeared on Batman: The Animated Series, facing Ra’s al Ghul in a flashback episode entitled Showdown. Years later, Cartoon Network’s Justice League Unlimited featured the character in a time traveling episode titled The Once and Future Thing. Justice League Crisis on Two Earths out today
DC Comics and Warner Premiere; two similar-yet-different companies within the same realm. If only the two of them were filled with capes, masks, and super powers, it’d be very similar to their collaborative project, Justice League Crisis on Two Earths. This original, animated DVD and Blu-ray film is out today, February 23rd. It features the Justice League, similar to the incarnation from the Cartoon Network series, battling an evil Justice League from an alternative universe. True to the “opposite” stance, this evil League regularly does battle with a good Lex Luthor. How’s that for crazy! This is the seventh animated special in the line of the DC Universe Original Animated Movies line released by Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation. Justice League Crisis on Two Earths on Blu-Ray and DVD
Since teasing the animated disc last year, DC Comics and Warner Premiere have been somewhat quiet about the upcoming Justice League Crisis on Two Earths. But as the February 23rd launch date approaches, the pair is turning on the hype machine and spreading the word on how awesome the film is. The original direct-to-video animated flick, based on the original Justice League: Worlds Collide / Fearful Symmetry, sees a heroic Lex Luthor from another dimension calling to our Justice League to defeat the villainous version from his world. Justice League gets adorably plush at Toy Fair 2010
Now, tell me this; what kind of horrible super villain would you have to be to want to hurt these guys? I mean, look at them! They’re adorable!! They make you just want to pick them up and give them hugs and make sure these super heroes have super days. This plush team of hero collectibles was recently shown off at Toy Fair 2010 this year, in a group fashion of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, and the Flash, iconic figures from the Cartoon Network animated series Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
