Cartoon Network gets hyped for the Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction video game
Ben has a pretty cool gig. I mean, he’s had, what, three shows so far? Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force, and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. He’s had specials, movies, live-action segments, great LEGO toys, and all kinds of products. But one of the only ways to truly get a sense of just how cool it is to live Ben Tennyson’s life is to get your hands on a Ben 10 video game. Papaya Studio, Cartoon Network, D3 Publisher, and the rest of the folks behind the latest gaming adventure, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction, had that specific goal in mind – and it appears the goal was achieved! The game, due out in just a month, on October 5th, features 17 playable characters, including normal aliens, ultimate aliens, and Ben, himself — Fourarms and Rath will appear in special editions. Sega’s Sonic Colors speeding closer to a release date
We’re getting closer to the release of Sega’s latest Sonic the Hedgehog video game, Sonic Colors. In the game, players use the colorful power of energy obtained from Wisps. There eight kinds of energy offer Sonic special powers, including; White Wisps for an extra boost, Cyan Wisps to bounce off surfaces, Yellow Wisps to dig into surfaces, and Orange Wisps to rocket through the sky. The Wii version of Sonic Colors will use a mixture of 2D and 3D, while the Nintendo DS version will offer dual screen, vertical views. Warner Bros. and D3Publisher to release Yogi Bear: The Video Game
It was just two years ago that ToonBarn first announced the upcoming Yogi Bear live action and CG animated movie. The film, a product from Warner Bros. about the Hanna-Barbera classic, is deep into production, with stars like Dan Aykroyd, Anna Faris, Justin Timberlake, and Chrstine Taylor already on board. Recently, D3Publisher announced they will be working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on Yogi Bear: The Video Game, set to hit Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 consoles with the film on December 17th, 2010. The game will share the 3D look of the film as well as the voice actors to give gamers a shared experience between theaters and living rooms. (more… )

Nintendo starts Pokemon Black and White with new Pokemon
We’re creeping closer and closer to the launch of Nintendo’s Pokemon Black & White, the latest game in the Pocket Monster franchise. American and European regions can get their hands on the game in the Spring, but Japanese gamers have just about 6 weeks to wait, with a September 18th launch over there. Recently, the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi game’s director, Junichi Masuda, added more fuel to the Pokefire by stating Pokemon Black and Pokemon White will initially only contain brand new Pokémon, giving the gamer an entirely new experience — similar to when Pokemon Green and Pokemon Red were released. With over 30 new Pokemon officially announced, hyping up this new 5th generation, that means there will still be plenty to choose from… until later in the game, when you can go back to the familiar cast, like Pikachu! Stan Lee chats about Marvel’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions video game
When Activision and Disney’s Marvel get together, good things happen. This time around, it’s the upcoming Spider-Man game, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. In this game, due out September 7th, players can work through four different dimensions of the Spider-Man mythos; the Marvel world (home to the Amazing Spider-Man), Noir (a 1930s version of Spider-Man), Spider-Man 2099 (the Spider-Man of a possible future), and Ultimate Spider-Man (where Spidey is currently bonded with the Venom symbiote). The mastermind behind most of Marvel’s creations, Stan Lee, recently sat down to pass a few words on the upcoming Nintendo DS, PC, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 game. THQ releases Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet the video game
Super heroes have, for years, made for great entertainment; in comic books, in movies, in cartoons, and in video games. Marvel’s Super Hero Squad is one of the few examples that is so powerful, it’s had huge success in most all of those fields – or at least it will when all is said and done! THQ is there to help the cause, as it prepares the release of Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DSi / Nintendo DS. No word on Nintendo 3DS version just yet. The game, due out this November, is a sequel to last years Marvel Super Hero Squad game, and picks up with the season 2 storyline of the Cartoon Network animated series.
