I know, I know, normally it’s you heading to the mall or e-store to grab the latest SpongeBob CD or Dora DVD. But Nickelodeon UK thought it was about time to turn the tables around and send their two key mascots over to malls and shopping centers to visit you, instead. Capital Shopping Centers, Sheffield Meadowhall and Manchester Arndale will be home to a live tour through the next 2 weeks. Winners of the 37th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards
A few days back, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (a.k.a. NATAS) dished out trophies and recognition to the winners of the 37th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The event recognizes outstanding achievement in all creative fields of daytime TV production during the 2009 calendar year, making specific note of cartoons, animated programs, and the networks that air them. Nickelodeon stocks the iTunes store with SpongeBob SquarePants’ iSponge
SpongeBob has been a lot of places in his eleven years; Nick TV, video games, audio CDs, the big theatrical screen, etc. It only makes sense in this Apple-friendly “i” world that we’d see more and more of the porous one hitting the downloadable world of applications. Nickelodeon UK obviously completely agrees as the network’s Digital Group recently packaged together and launched the latest thing in the iTunes store: iSponge. SpongeBobs new app, made perfectly for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, has a number of under-the-sea features, including an exclusive SpongeBob SquarePants game, new classic video clips from the series added each week, the entire first episode of the toon, and sneak peeks of upcoming shows. Nickelodeon debuts SpongeBob SquarePants: The Clash of Triton
On Monday, July 5th, Nickelodeon will premiere a brand new SpongeBob SquarePants special called The Clash of the Triton. The Independence Day episode, which will also appear on DVD July 13th courtesy of Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment, is all about Bikini Bottom getting the royal treatment, with a few celebrity guest stars, such as Victoria Beckham as Queen Amphitrite, John O’Hurley as King Neptune, and Sebastian Bach as their son, Triton. The debut starts at 8pm that Monday night, but the SpongeBob goodness doesn’t end there! Adventure Time a success for Cartoon Network
The series only debuted a few weeks ago, but Adventure Time has already become one of the most popular shows on Cartoon Network. Finn and Jake continue to dazzle audiences every time their toon hits televisions, with fans across the nation going nuts for each episode, demanding more. It’s random, it’s fun, and a number of sources have claimed it to be the most inventive and creative regular series since SpongBob SquarePants made his premiere more than ten years ago.
