Avengers Assemble! Marvel debuts Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

This fall, Marvel and their new bestest pal Disney will showcase a collection of their greatest super heroes and villains as Disney XD welcomes The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The Marvel Animation and Film Roman toon, set to debut just after this summer, will feature a number of Marvel’s giants, including; Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, the Wasp, Absorbing Man, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, JARVIS, Wonder Man, Black Panther, the Masters of Evil, Loki, and Odin. Marvel and Hasbro

Well… not forever. But a really long time! The two companies, Marvel and Hasbro, just agreed to work together through 2017. This means our pals Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Avengers, The Hulk, Wolverine, , Thor and Captain America will have Hasbro-made toys and products on the shelves (and in our houses!) for a long, long time.

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Marvel Animation’s new animated series set to appear on , The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, has started to tease their roster.  Included in the super group will be Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Giant Man and Wasp.  The series is still a bit away, it wont be ready for TV until 2011, but the hype has begun.  Marvel Studios will release the The First Avenger: Captain America to theaters on May 6th of that year, with The Avengers shortly after, July 15th.  Both will of course coincide with the new animated series.

The Marvel Universe heads to Japan

Marvel Universe

The Marvel Universe is hoping to expand into Japan.  , Inc. is partnering with Madhouse, a famous Japanese animation studio to create new characters for the Japanese market.  The two companies will work closely with one another, trying to produce a few new Japanese anime series that are inspired by Marvel’s immense library of characters.  The art will be adapted using a traditional anime style and creating unique back stories intertwining with local culture and Japanese history.

Could this mean Spider-Man swinging his way through Tokyo?  Or Wolverine with samurai sword claws?  The Hulk doing battle with Iron Man in a sushi eating contest?

The first of four new series will launch in the spring of 2010 on the local anime network.  Iron Man and Wolverine will be amongst the stars, but the plans will soon spread to the entire list of characters, from the to Daredevil to Thor to Captain … America?  We’ll see!  Stay tuned to ToonBarn for more details!
