It’s been almost a full year since we’ve seen a preview, but now we’re getting psyched up to watch the whole thing! Halo Legends is now on Blu-ray and DVD this week, ready to bring home and watch on repeat. The film is an unprecedented gathering of the finest talent in Japanese animation that have drawn together to explore the mystery and action of the Halo universe. Eight episodes and a stunning range of visual styles shed new light and epic perspective on Halo lore, developed by 5 different studios: Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio4 C, and Toei Animation, financed by 343 Creative, and distributed by Warner Bros. If you’re going to ask my personal opinion, I think that the best Sonic games are the classic 2D games – that means two things; (1) I’m incredibly psyched about the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and (2) I am absolutely in love with the upcoming special Sonic Classic Collection for the Nintendo DS. The collection includes Sega’s first three Sonic games and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as a tin, art cards, and a Sonic figurine. Unfortunately (for me) as of right now, the collection will only be available in Spain and Australia, but Sega has not ruled out a wider distribution. (more… )

Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 will be meeting 3…D! Both of the Disney and Pixar films will be released as a double feature on October 2nd of this year. All if this is to build towards the actual Toy Story 3, which will be in theaters on June 18th, 2010. The toys are back in town!

Well… not forever. But a really long time! The two companies, Marvel and Hasbro, just agreed to work together through 2017. This means our pals Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Avengers, The Hulk, Wolverine, X-Men, Thor and Captain America will have Hasbro-made toys and products on the shelves (and in our houses!) for a long, long time.

Digimon Data Squad needs toys! And they’ll get’em! Toei Animation has signed on with Bandai Asia Co. to get toys based on the popular animated series in toy stores. This includes a new digivice data link, new 1.5-inch collectible figures, and new 3.5-inch lightning digivolving figures.

Want some Geronimo Stilton toys? You got’em! Atlantyca Entertainment and the MoonScoop Group have agreed to work with toy company Giochi Preziosi to produce toys for the animated series. But what if you’ve never heard of the show? That’s OK! It’s not on TV yet But it will be on Italian TVs this fall, and all across Europe and the US at the start of next year. And then those toys will mean something!
