Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in theaters, courtesy of Iron Man
It’s been 17 long years since we’ve had a live-action TMNT flick on the big screen. Back in the early 1990s, the films were rapid-fire; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hit in 1990, the sequel The Secret of the Ooze debuted in 1991, and then Turtles in Time in 1993. Since then, nothing. Sure, there was that cool CG Turtles flick from a few years back, and Turtles Forever, the made-for-theaters-no-wait-TV film from last year, but no live-action adventure in nearly two decades. However, with Nickelodeon grabbing the property from 4Kids, there’s been almost non-stop “live action movie” rumors. Whether that was through Michael Bay, or the latest buzz regarding the Paramount and Platinum Dunes production; that Art Marcum and Matt Holloway are behind it, the same folks who gave us Marvel’s Iron Man. Turtles in Time, in time
We know that the upcoming game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, is due out August 5th. But, what you might not realize is how much Ubisoft’s game has evolved since Konami first released it in arcades nearly 20 years ago. We’re inching closer to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, the modern day remake of Konami’s 1991 side-scrolling arcade classic. The 4-player game features our green pals battling Shredder’s forces through history, and future, and has a new …time for when it will hit Xbox Love Arcade: August 5th. Ubisoft claims a launch on the PlayStation Network will take place later this year, but so far no word confirming the game for Nintendo Wii. Check out a cool preview trailer after the break!

TMNT Turtles in Time Re-shelled
Though it started out as a bit of a rumor early on, fans can now officially gear up for the remake of a TMNT classic: Turtles in Time Re-shelled for the Xbox 360. Ubisoft is producing the Konami arcade brawler, that you can play at home, as opposed to old schoolers like myself who lost thousans of quarters in the arcade! Turtle power!

A remake of the “Turtles in Time” arcade game
Lucky TMNT fans with an Xbox 360 will soon be able to download an updated version of the classic arcade game “Turtles in Time”. The game will play exactly as the original, but has been entirely remade with all new 3D graphics and effects. As of now, the game is scheduled to be available later this year on Xbox Live, but there’s still hope it could appear on PlayStation’s PSN and Nintendo Wii’s WiiWare.
